Battery & UPS testing

Battery & UPS testing with real performance data, not guesses.

Guardian runs your batteries through controlled load tests and records how they actually behave: voltage under load, capacity delivered, internal resistance, and thermal behavior. You get clear, data-driven answers on what to keep, what to watch, and what to retire.

Load & capacity testing
Internal resistance (IR) measurements
Thermal behavior & pass / fail summary
Ideal for UPS banks, tool packs, equipment batteries, and other critical backup systems.
What we test

From tool packs to UPS banks.

If your operation depends on batteries or backup power, you need more than “it seems fine.” Guardian’s testing is built for the real world: shop floors, small server rooms, industrial equipment, and facilities that can’t afford surprise failures.

Tool packs & equipment
🔋

Cordless tools & equipment batteries

Testing for high-use cordless tool packs and equipment batteries used in production, field work, and facilities.

DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita and similar 18–60 V packs, plus equipment packs used on the floor.
UPS & backup
💡

UPS & backup power systems

Runtime-focused UPS battery testing to see how long you actually have under load, not just what the sticker claims.

Small server rooms, network closets, and facilities relying on UPS systems to ride through outages.
Specialty
⚙️

Specialty & high-value packs

Specialty batteries and packs where failure means downtime, difficult access, or high replacement cost.

Evaluated case-by-case – reach out with details on chemistry, voltage, and what it powers.
How testing works

Simple, repeatable steps for every battery.

We follow a consistent process so you can compare results across batteries, strings, and test cycles. Every test is designed to answer the same core question: “Is this safe and reliable to keep in service?”

Step 1

Baseline checks

We record resting voltage, internal resistance, and basic condition. If something is clearly unsafe or far out of spec, we flag it immediately.

Step 2

Controlled load test

The battery is run through a defined load profile to measure capacity, voltage sag, and thermal behavior. For some packs, we include stress pulses to simulate real-use spikes.

Step 3

Report & recommendations

You receive a simple summary: pass, borderline, or fail, plus notes on replacement, rebuild, or continued monitoring.

Why it matters

Batteries are cheap compared to downtime.

A weak pack in a critical spot doesn’t just cost the price of a battery – it costs time, missed work, and sometimes damage to equipment or product. Testing gives you clarity.

Stop guessing You see which batteries are doing their job and which ones are drifting toward failure, based on actual numbers.
Prioritize replacements Replace the worst batteries first, instead of rotating everything on a calendar with no data behind it.
Support rebuild & upgrade decisions Testing helps you decide whether to rebuild, replace like-for-like, or upgrade to higher capacity or better chemistries.
